MAX Power Mining (CSE: MAXX; OTC: MAXXF; FRANKFURT: 89N) reported that intermediate casing at its Lawson 5 well has been completed at approximately 1,100 meters measured depth, with drilling proceeding toward the Prairie Evaporite, interpreted as a key trap and seal for Natural Hydrogen accumulation. Lawson 5 is a 30-kilometer step-out northeast of Lawson 4 and is testing the potential west-to-east extension of the Lawson Natural Hydrogen system toward the Salt Wall.
The Salt Wall Corridor extends approximately 475 kilometers north-south through the Genesis Trend to the Saskatchewan-North Dakota border. At deeper levels of Lawson 5, MAX Power plans to investigate a faulted fracture system associated with dissolution of the evaporite salt as it seeks to expand the scale of the Lawson Discovery. The company said upcoming completions at Lawson and Bracken are designed to address composition, flow and deliverability, while data from each well will also contribute to the proprietary dataset supporting MAXX LEMI.
